The HubSpot pricing model: from fixed bundles to flexible seat-based usage

HubSpot’s pricing model is built around the principle that organizations only pay for the users and features they actually need. This makes HubSpot flexible, scalable, and fairly priced for both small and large teams.

Until early 2024, HubSpot used a bundle-based model:

This system worked well for larger companies, but for smaller organizations, the entry barrier was often too high.

Those with only one or two users still had to pay the full base fee. In addition, unlimited users could be added — convenient, but it often led to confusion about who had what level of access.

In short: the model was less scalable, and pricing didn’t always match actual usage.

The base fee for HubSpot Sales Hub and Service Hub is now a thing of the past. In the current model, HubSpot charges per user — or per seat. Each user is assigned a seat type based on the permissions and features they need.

The new structure offers:

For the Marketing Hub, CMS Hub, and Operations Hub, a fixed monthly fee still applies, including a number of core seats. The Sales Hub and Service Hub, however, now work entirely on a seat basis, without a fixed base fee.

Core seats provide editing rights across all Hubs, but without access to advanced Sales or Service functionalities.

The price per additional core seat depends on the highest Hub in your package:

Each Hub includes a certain number of core seats in the monthly price.

These seats are for users who actively use HubSpot’s commercial features, such as sequences, playbooks, customer portals, and surveys.

Cost per user per month:

The base fee for Sales and Service Hub has therefore disappeared — you now only pay for the users who actually use the features.

Advantage: smaller teams can now benefit from full Sales or Service functionality with just one or two users.

For managers or colleagues who only need to view data, there are free view-only seats. They can view reports and dashboards but cannot edit them.
You can add an unlimited number of view-only users — perfect for executives or external stakeholders.

Suppose you purchase Marketing Hub Enterprise and CMS Hub Professional.

Then you get by default:

All 8 core seats have access to both Hubs.
An additional core seat costs €75 per month because your highest Hub is at the Enterprise level.

With this model, you can easily scale as your team grows — no need to purchase a new bundle right away.

New to HubSpot? You can get started for just €20 per month with the full HubSpot Suite at Starter level. That means access to Marketing, Sales, Service, CMS, Data, and Commerce Hub Starter — including 1,000 marketing contacts.

Interested, but want to see how HubSpot works in practice and which features bring the most value to your organization first? Then schedule a free HubSpot demo with one of our HubSpot experts.

During this demo, we’ll show you exactly how the platform is structured, which Hubs best align with your goals, and what HubSpot pricing looks like in your specific situation.

With its seat-based setup, HubSpot now aligns more closely with platforms like Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics. Like those competitors, you pay per user.

However, HubSpot offers a key advantage: one core seat gives access to all Hubs within your suite, whereas other platforms often require a separate product license per user. This makes it easier and more cost-effective for multiple teams to collaborate within one CRM.
